Last year's 4th grade reading Olympics team!
Important info and expectations:
- There is one Reading Olympics Competition which is held in the spring. It is held on a week night and usually runs from 6-8:30ish. More information regarding the actual competition will be provided later in the year.
- Parents are not required to purchase the books. Books can be borrowed from the team coaches or the 150 library.
- We will most likely only be able to take one 4th grade team this year and the team we take cannot have more than 15 students. There are 3 rounds and only 12 students can compete at a time.
- Because this is a competition, the number of quality summaries turned in will determine who we take if we still have more than 15 students at the time.
- To stay on the team, each student MUST have their first quality book summary turned into Mrs. Haldeman or Ms. Sayler by to be determined. Any students who have not turned in a summary will no longer be able to participate.
- The deadline to have the next quality book summary turned in is to be determined. Any students who have not turned in their second quality book summary by this time will no longer be able to participate.
- If we have more than 15 students who qualify then we will take the 15 students who turned in the most summaries. If there is a tie for the last spot, we will pick sticks to see who goes.
